New homes still need a test
That growth means a lot of newer houses with finished and walkout basements. Newer, tighter construction doesn't mean low radon. Some newer homes have a passive radon pipe, which can be turned into an active system with a fan if testing shows the level is still high; in Iowa that conversion is credentialed work.
What radon work comes up in Sergeant Bluff?
- Testing in newer homes, ideally before finishing the basement
- Adding a fan to passive radon pipes
- Interior pipe routing to keep finished spaces clean
- Testing and systems for home sales
Finishing the basement?
Test first. It's much easier to route pipe and seal the slab before framing and drywall go up.
